GLOBAL YET LOCAL

CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING AND GLOBAL THINKING IN BUSINESS

Client: Royal Thai Consulate General Melbourne & Ministry of Culture Thailand
Supporter: City of Melbourne | Partner: Melbourne Food & Wine Festival (MFWF)

As in many other parts of the world, local Thai communities in Melbourne have developed a variety of cultural programs and events to mark their achievements or to celebrate the cultural and natural heritage bequeathed to them.
This year, in conjunction with Melbourne Food & Wine Festival (MFWF) ‘ASSAJAN’ Thai Culture and Food Festival transforms Melbourne’s Federation Square into a haven of all things Thai for Melbournians to enjoy the sights, sounds, tastes and aromas and discover more about Thailand. ASSAJAN is thrilled to welcome Chef Tam 'Chudaree Debhakam', winner of “Top Chef Thailand” as its special guest chef during Thai Culture and Food Festival 2018 and Melbourne Food & Wine Festival. The Concept has played with a multitude of sensors. Sight (vision), hearing (audition), taste (gustation), smell (olfaction), and touch (somatosensation) are the five traditionally recognised senses, while combining the culinary DNA of Chef Tam and Australian Chef, each outstanding dish have the perfect blend of Thai touch and Australian cooking techniques. #CHEFTAMxMELBOURNE - an eight-course banquet at Rice Paper Sister in Melbourne, Australia.
